Piroxicam, like other NSAIDs, acts through inhibition of tissue cycloxygenases (COX-1 and COX-2), leading to a decrease in pro-inflammatory prostaglandins (the potent mediators of pain and inflammation). Piroxicam is used to treat pain and inflammation in osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Composition
Each dispersible tablet contains:
- Piroxicam: 20 mg
