NovoMix 50 FlexPen is a modern, pre-filled insulin pen containing biphasic insulin Aspart—a 50/50 mixture of rapid-acting and intermediate-acting insulin analogues. It is indicated for the treatment of diabetes mellitus in adults, helping to lower high blood glucose levels. The 50/50 ratio provides a balanced dual action: the rapid-acting component starts working quickly to cover mealtime glucose spikes, while the intermediate-acting component provides sustained basal coverage. Each FlexPen contains 3 ml of insulin Aspart 100 U/ml (300 units per pen), and this pack contains 5 pre-filled pens (total 15 ml/1,500 units).

  • Biphasic 50/50 Formulation: Contains 50% rapid‑acting soluble insulin aspart and 50% intermediate‑acting protamine‑crystallised insulin aspart, providing both prandial and basal coverage
  • Rapid Onset of Action: The rapid‑acting component begins to work within 10–20 minutes, allowing injection immediately before meals (within 0–10 minutes of eating)
  • Balanced Blood Sugar Control: Helps manage both post‑meal glucose spikes and between‑meal glucose levels
