Pyodine Gel is a special formulation of Povidone-Iodine which enables the active ingredient to be absorbed quickly and also provides a protective covering on the surface of the wound. Povidone-Iodine in Pyodine Gel is capable of killing all classes of pathogens encountered in nosocomial and day-to-day infections; gram+ve bacteria and gram-ve bacteria (including antibiotic resistant strains and mycobacteria), fungi/yeast, viruses and protozoa. It is the only microbicide with this broad-spectrum of activity.
Composition
Each 100g contains:
- Povidone-Iodine: 5.0 g
Suggested Usage
- Cover the affected area of skin with Pyodine Gel and apply occlusive dressing. Twice daily application is sufficient. In burn and other chronic wounds thrice daily applications are required.
