Pyodine (Povidone-Iodine USP) is a broad spectrum local antiseptic having germicidal properties. Pyodine(PVP-Iodine USP) is capable of killing all classes of pathogens encountered in nosocomial infections gram positive and gram negative bacteria including antibiotic resistant strains and mycobacterium, fungi, yeast, viruses and protozoa. It is the only microbicide with this broad spectrum of activity.
The prolonged non selective antimicrobial action of PVP-Iodine is unparalleled for surface microbiocidal activity and particularly effective in treating mixed infection. Its effectiveness has been clinically proven for all types of topical applications in both human and veterinary medicine. Pyodine (Povidone-Iodine USP) is a germicidal antiseptic agent. Composition
Each 100ml contains:
- Povidone-Iodine USP 1.0 g equivalent to 0.10 g available Iodine (0.10% w/v)
Suggested Usage
- Use undiluted or if necessary dilute with water.
- Gargle and rinse for 30 seconds twice a day or as directed by the physician.
