It is an antihistamine which is used to relieve symptoms of allergy such as rash, itching, sneezing, runny nose, cough, or watery eyes. It works by blocking histamine and acetylcholine produced by our body, these natural substances elicit symptoms of allergic reactions.
Composition
Each teaspoonful (5ml) contains:
- Dextromethorphan HBr B.P: 10 mg
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate B.P: 2 mg
- Pseudoephedrine HCl: 30 mg
Dosage
- Adults: 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day.
- Children above 6 years: 1/2 teaspoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.
