Ammonium chloride can be used as an expectorant due to its irritative action on the bronchial mucosa. Chlorphenoiramine acts as antihistamine and gives relief from allergy. It causes bronchodilation due to the activation of beta-adrenergic receptors in the lungs.
Composition
Each teaspoonful (5ml) contains:
- Ammonium chloride: 100 mg
- Chlorpheniramine Maleate: 2 mg
- Pseudoephedrine HCl: 5 mg
Dosage
- Adults: 1 to 2 teaspoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day.
- Children above 6 years: 1/2 teaspoonfuls 3 to 4 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.
