This medication is an androgen used in men and boys who do not make enough testosterone (a naturally occurring substance necessary for masculinity and male sexual characteristics). It is also used in certain adolescent boys to cause puberty in those with delayed puberty. Andrex contains testosterone, a natural hormone produced in the body, which helps develop and maintain male sexual characteristics.
