Description

Zerifax by AGP contains Rifaximin, a specialized antibiotic that works primarily in the gut to treat bacterial infections of the intestines. Unlike many other antibiotics, it is poorly absorbed into the bloodstream, allowing it to target harmful bacteria directly in the gastrointestinal tract with minimal systemic side effects. It is commonly prescribed for traveler's diarrhea and for reducing the risk of overt hepatic encephalopathy recurrence in adults.

  • Targeted Gut Action: Works locally in the intestines with minimal systemic absorption.
  • Treats Traveler's Diarrhea: Effective against non-invasive strains of E. coli, a common cause of traveler's diarrhea.
  • Reduces Hepatic Encephalopathy Risk: Helps prevent the recurrence of brain disorders caused by liver disease.

Composition
Each film coated contains:

  • Rifaximin: 200 mg

Suggested Usage

  • One (1) tablet three times a day or as directed by the physician
